A Guide to Adabe Farsi

Persian literature biannual of Tehran University Faculty of Literature and Humanities is a scientific (scientific-research) publication in the field of Persian language literary studies and research. This journal publishes articles in these fields:
Research in the field of ancient and contemporary Persian literature throughout the sphere of influence of this language; Criticism and correction of Persian texts; History of literature and stylistics; grammar; Linguistic issues; Persian general literature; and research in the field of Persian language education.

Conditions for acceptance of articles
1. General characteristics
● The article should be the result of the research of the author/authors and new points should be proposed and described in it;
● It is necessary to preserve trust in quoting the words and theories of others and must be accompanied by accurate references to reliable sources;
● The article should not have been published in another journal or sent to another journal at the same time;
● The publication of the article is subject to the final approval of the editorial board of the publication;
● The certificate of acceptance of the article will be sent to the author's personal page in the system after the approval of the editor;
● The author is responsible for the contents of the article;
● The journal is free in the literary and technical editing of the article, according to scientific standards;
● The length of the article should not exceed 8000 words (without English abstract);
● The name and surname, academic rank, university of teaching or study, and field of study of the author/authors, as well as the university email address of the responsible author and his mobile phone number must be recorded in the journal system;
● The authors of the article should not be more than three;
● All authors' identities must be inserted in the sheet in the system, as well as its more complete form, as follows, in a separate file in the system:
- The title of the author or authors who are members of the faculty (be it assistant professor, associate professor or professor), as well as the subject group and the university where they teach must be identified; Otherwise, the title "Student" or "Student" should be used by mentioning the field and the university of the place of study;
● It is possible to send the article only through the Persian literature system to the address https://jpl.ut.ac.ir;
● The articles of master's and doctoral students, as well as master's graduates, must be under the effective supervision of a faculty member with a specialized doctorate or a doctoral student, authorship and his/her name should also be mentioned among the names of the authors.

Reminder: The order of mentioning the names of the authors and inserting the title of "author in charge" in the acceptance certificate is based on the information that the author in charge entered in the system at the time of submitting the article. Therefore, it is essential that the order of the authors' names and the selection of the "responsible author" have reached consensus before submitting the article. In any case, it is not possible to change the direction and order of mentioning the names of the authors after the acceptance certificate is issued.
2. Components of the article
● The title of the article should be descriptive and express its content;
● Persian abstract: including 200-250 words at the beginning of the article (with font size 11) and English abstract at the end of the article after the list of sources at the end of the article (with the same number of words and with font size 10) containing an overview of the problem, purpose, method research and findings;
● Keywords: it comes at the end of two Persian and English abstracts (including 5 to 7 specialized words related to the subject of the article and mentioned in the abstract);
● Introduction: It should include "problem statement", "research objective" and "research background", "research questions and hypotheses" and other relevant information (all cases of problem statement, objective, background, question and hypothesis and... under the title are placed in the introduction and there is no need for separate headings and numbering for them);
● The main body of the article: it should include theoretical foundations, discussion and argument, analysis and content divisions;
● Result: It should include logical and useful findings from the research of the article;
● Footnote: contains the necessary long explanations that come after the result;
● References: at the end of the article, it should be set according to the style of the journal.

Editing and writing features
In order to speed up the preparation and editing of articles, it is strongly recommended to pay attention to the following points:
● Observance of standard Persian language and scientific prose and away from complicated phrases;
Compliance with the script approved by the Persian Language and Literature Academy based on the Persian script and the spelling of the words with the Persian script dictionary (authored by Ali Ashraf Sadeghi and Zahra Zandi Moghadam);
● far from excessive use of Farhangistan approved equivalents for foreign words based on what is stated on the Farhangistan website;
● Editing and editing of the article in terms of literary, technical and typography; including observing the distance and semi-space (by holding the control + shift + 2 keys at the same time) between the words and putting intensities and consonants and moving as necessary and far from extremes.
How to set the text
● The main title of the article should be set with 18 black (Bold) IR Lotus font and the sub-headings inside the text should be set with 13 black font (you can find and download the desired font of the magazine on Google and put it in the fonts folder of your computer);
● The text of the article should be adjusted with IR Lotus font 13 in the word processing environment (Word);
● In-text Latin phrases should be set with Times New Roman font 10 and placed in parentheses in front of the word;
● The distance between the lines of the text of the article should be considered 1 cm;
● The beginning of each clause (paragraph) should be indented half a centimeter. Of course, the first line under each title should not be indented;
● The margin of the text of the article should be four and a half centimeters from the top of the page and three and a half centimeters from the bottom, and four and a half centimeters from the right and left;
● Abstract font size, key words, end references, in-text references and explanatory phrases (which are placed between two arcs), independent direct quotations from the text, poems (including verses and monologues),
